In the old days (pre 1970's), all non cromatic color was refered to as black and white and with a tint was ocasionally added by the ones displaying the art, not the actual artists. But the true art of sepia tones was redifined in the 1970's and became a true form of expression. Look it up if you doubt myknowledge.
