This is "The Wave", located in Coyote Buttes area of Arizona. Trail head is 8 miles south of US 89, halfway btwn Kanab, UT, and Page, AZ, on House Rock Rd. All day hike, hiking permit required. Well worth the pike but don't get caught in a snowstorm like we did. Trailhead is on a dirt road, practically impassible when wet!

what you're seeing is bedding & the weird patterns are basically caused by erosion....maybe glaciers but this is certainly not marks left by glaciation!!!

The ondulations dont come from water per say. It is a natural phenomenon when glaciers retract they leave this telltale sign

The photos on this site are all so beautiful! I know that I will never get to see many of these places. Looking through them aagives me the only world tour I will get. Mosst of the time the photos on the internet do not say where the pix were taken. That would be nice to know. Thank you to all the photograpers of thes wonderful pix and for showing me the rest of the world!
